Koshu Houtou Kosaku Suwa Ic Branch

初めて寄りました。お店か並びにあるので入口がわかりにくいです。駐車場に曲がる際、車高は低くても大丈夫ですが入口と縁石だけ気をつけてください。 店内は靴を脱いで畳の大部屋に。階段が御手洗付近にあったので2階もあるのかもしれません。 店ない入口に階段があったようにバリアフリーではないです。 おばあちゃん家に来て親族がたくさん集まって食事しているような雰囲気で個人的には楽しかったです。 熊肉に興味を持ちながらも他の物にしました(￣▽￣;)お腹空いていたので失敗したくないという気持ちが勝ちました…。 カボチャほうとうにしましたが、野菜が沢山でお腹いっぱいなりました。また近くに行ったら寄ってみたいです。

Family was craving Hottou noodle soup, which is a specialty of neighboring Yamanashi (Hokuto City). Fortunately, this store showed up when we Googled it so it saved us an extra trip to the next prefecture. The offer different meats in their soups. I went for the wild boar which was around 2200 yen but did not disappoint. The pots are heated over open flame so when the waitresses tell you not to touch it, don’t think that after it’s cooled down it won’t matter if you do touch it. Your hands will be filthy with soot. The place was huge and I believe it could seat 100 people. The tables themselves were enormous. Good for families with little kids that want to crawl around as it has tatami seating.

山梨には幾度となく旅行しており、近くを通ることも多かった小作さんですが一度も伺ったことはありませんでした。 今回の旅行は長野ですが念願叶って初訪問です。 田舎の雰囲気のある建物の見た目の店内は、今時のファミレスとは違う作りでかなり新鮮です。 このあたりも猛暑だったのでしょうか、エアコンの調子が悪く、座った席は少しばかり温い場所ではありましたが、これも雰囲気ってことで。（笑） 頼んだのはカボチャほうとうとおにぎりです。 家族が少食なこともあり、ほうとう2は少しばかりキツイと思い、この組み合わせでシェアすることに。 しばらくして、丸いなんとも美味しそうな丸いオニギリ3つと、ほうとうが提供されました。 里芋、ジャガイモ、カボチャのホクホク根菜と味噌が一体となって、これをほうとうと一緒に食べると口の中が幸せです。 人参、ネギ、山菜も味噌との相性がバッチリで、美味しいです。 また、この味噌の汁が当然のことながらご飯との相性が抜群です。 ゆず唐辛子を振ると、ゆずの香りが加わって、またひと味違ったほうとうを味わえます。 野菜しか入っていないのですが、味噌の旨味が強くとっても満足でした。

A hearty Japanese country style meal with thick udon noodles and pumpkin Hoto and vegetables was the choice for lunch. After a couple of hours of driving it was a nice break. The food was tasty and came in a large bowl more than adequate. There were many options including meat Hoto available.

Great traditional sit-down style restaurant. We walked in at 6:30 on a January weeknight and it was half full, and full by 7pm. Diverse menu; I had horse sashimi, spicy pork houto, tempura and chicken cutlet (for our 5yo child). All were fantastic. They take foreign credit cards, as well. Staff were great, too. No English menu, but nothing Google translate can't solve.

We wanted to eat the Houtou which is some famous local food for Kofu, and we were lucky to be able to find a store around Suwa area. I ordered this Houtou set with small unagi-don. The volume of the food is pretty big, very delicious and very filling.
